Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
I've had a few good days in this two week period but the pains etc are slightly new to me. I feel more bloated and gassy than normal. I drink bicarb soda just to get a good burp happening.
I keep praying for the strength to go on but I don't know how I will get through this. I'm so scared.
Oh I guess its venting day today!
I hadn't changed any routine with all of this either.
The weather here has been cool, rainy, wet snow, and sleet. I know every year around this time my fibromyalgia worsens, probably due to similar weather patterns. It would make sense, then, to also negatively affect the inflamed stomach lining. My diet has been steady, and I seem to have little problems with it.
So--I have to say blame the weather! May sound simplistic, but I think it is almost definitely related.
you know that knawing, aching pain? that's what i'm feeling. sometimes i don't know if its hunger i'm feeling or the gastritis. i'm feeling really afraid to eat anything.
when i first started having pain, back in 2004, i would eat baby food. that's all i coulld keep down. things would get better for a while and i'd go back to eating foods i should'nt have.
i really miss my coffee!
