i hear you. i know people eventually recover from this nightmare and one day we will too. I suspect cabbage and kale combined might be my culprits. Not really sure.
Oh well back to more pureed soups for a few days. all good on that score as it's winter for me.

do you find that when the tummy is sore everything and anything you eat hurts? How long before the pain eases and you get back to the normal drill of gastritis? Arrrggghhh

It takes me a week to feel okay eating again, though now it's starting to recover a bit more quickly. Definitely stay away from cabbage... I have seen it singled out as being bad for gastritis.

My attack the other day felt like I was being stabbed in my chest and back. It would come and go. Took two hours for it to subside.

it seems every one but me knew cabbage was a no no. LOL. I won't touch it again. Am eating soft food with my chicken or fish and letting my tummy have a good rest. still managing fruit and yoghurt. Glad you're mending quicker these days.

does anyone else find that when something attacks their tummy and everything is pear shaped for a while that foods they were ok with for ages are suddenly off the market for a time? I'm trying to rest my tummy as much as possible and last night either peas, zuchhini or broccoli got me. The pain wasn't so bad and was fairly short lived.
any advice will be welcome.

I was told broccoli produces gas like cabbage and not to eat it. I don't know if that is the cause of your pain. Just a thought...

yes, broccoli, cabbage, brussel sprouts. kohlrabi, kale and maybe avoid cauliflower now. Oh well. better to have less pain.

last night my old friend gnawing, burning pain came to visit. I was a sobbing mess in bed more from frustration than pain, mind you the pain was no picnic either. It was distressing after 2 good weeks. I eventually remembered to try my EFT (emotional freedom technique)

Hang on, i dont get it, when it says "Tap about 7 times on each of the energy points in these 2 diagrams" i dont get the ones on the fingers, are you supposed to tap them points with the other hand or something? Confused! lol

you tap the points say on your left hand with your right index and middle fingers. You are talking about the points near the fingernails yes? my naturopath showed me so I guess it was easier to learn. I'll go back to the website and see what you're seeing. Give me a while though as I'm about to eat...again.

after having a couple of good days and not needing my wheat bag (heat pack) I seagulled a few chips when I lunched with the gang at work. I knew they had chicken salt on them but thought I'd dusted it all off the few chips I had.Let this serve as a warning. Don't be as dumb as I was. I can and do eat chips - deep friend or oven fried with no problems but that salt probably hass MSG along with onion. More fool me I guess.
