Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.

Then again in November 2015 after a trip to the gym where they took my blood pressure i was told that it was very high and i should see my doctor. Went to doctors blood pressure taken but was found to be normal. Had a complete "MOT" and was told that perhaps my blood sugar levels were a little high. Had more blood tests taken and these came back clear. All my usual symptoms of gastritis came back but with the added symptoms of lower abdomen pressure. Dr sent me for ultrasound and more blood tests and all came back normal. By the April of 2015 i was back to normal again and the doctor put my symptoms down to a stressful period i was going through being that it would have been my eldest son's birthday in December and the anniversary of his death in March.
Now in November 2016 i was told by my employer that i would be transferring to another office. i wasn't completely happy about this as it would entail a 48 mile round trip every day whereas i was only travelling 16 miles beforehand. Then i started getting the lower abdominal pressure again and with loose stools . As you can imagine it was coming up to Christmas again. i saw my GP yesterday and told him about my job situation and the lower abdominal pressure starting again. After examination he said that it sounded to him that i had IBS with the added anxiety of my travelling further to work (i hate the travel). i have started to get the nausea again and am not eating particularly well so therefore the weight loss is happening again. Back on the ranitidine
Seems like i suffer at a certain time each year. i do suffer from anxiety and beginning to think that it is all in my head.
