Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.

I swear there is some much sickness out there no matter what you look up it leads to about 50 other conditions.
I hope for your sake, they find an answer and get your health back on track soon.
I haven't used either yet only because I want to get through this test first.
Oh also do you use slippery elm and if so in what manner?
I take two slippery elm capsules three times a day. You can take them as close to or far away from food as possible. I'll ask her about colloidal minerals today. She hasn't mentioned them or the tea. As to anything fluid, I struggle drinking the wate I need to swallow my tablets. I've also been told by the dietician at work to avoid any fluid that is very cold or very hot. I'm sure your body has told you that anyhow. I'm not in as much pain but my tummy is revisiting it's gurgling phase and takes longer to settle after eating again. I was going well for 2 weeks and am sure I will start improving again. It seems I improve for a while then stand still for a while. Does anyone else experience this?
I have to have room temperature liquids as well, but that's nothing new for me I realized that years ago. I live on water, my herbal tea bothers me, except for chamomile. One of the nurses at my GP's office asked me about milk--YUCK, my mother said I would never drink it as a kid, and I still don't. How I survived a car crushing my face is beyond me.
I actually had a great day today. I was actually able to eat without misery. Of course its still one food at a time but hey its still a Great day for me. Now tomorrow will be another story, I seem to have one good day out of the week. I wish for a 2 week span of no issues.
Do you think you may have eaten something that you might be intolerant to, which could have caused a relapse? I have to be so careful any tiny amount of cross contamination from soy or gluten will cause even more misery then what I am already in.
I wish I could say whether I experience what you do but I still can't tolerate much of anything without something screaming at me. If its not my stomach its my intestines, and when they are screaming, it's rather embarrassing.
I don't know what has cause my little relapse. I had two good weeks and now wham. My naturopath also taught me eft. (the link below)
http://www.emofree.com.au/
It has helped me in the past and I'll try it again now. It works on the physical and emotional. I'll try just about anything at this point. I'll see how the eft and new tablets go and see if anything settles. I'm not in pain just more gurgling and tightness in the tummy.
thanks for the acidopholus tip by the way.
So she didn't say the colloidal is a bad thing, well thats good, I know my naturalpath wants me on them because I am so deficient in minerals/nutrients. Maybe you haven't reached that point, nor do I hope you get to that point. My previous dr's did not do anything about what I was telling them, and at first the symptoms were pointing towards Candida so my naturalpath was focused on that. I was getting worse and that was when he suggested I find a GP that will do the testings I needed. So now my journey continues to see if I have gastroparesis on top of the gastrisis.
I meant to say I'm on acidiphilis capsules, sorry. I already take magnesium, fish oil, vitamins c,d b multi and glucosamine so my minerals are probably ok. My white cell count was low so I started taking echinacea and am now thinking they may have caused my tummy to become unsettled again. It's so hard to know isn't it. I may rest them for a few days. Let the acidophilis kick in and then re-introduce the echinacea but not take the full amount. I didn't take any supplements for the first few weeks but manage them ok now. I give myself two days off each week and only take the slippery elm and now the acidohpilis. Taking over 15 tablest a day is tiring.
Good luck.
