Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
I find any sort of illness (even a cold) will cause my stomach to have additional problems temporarily.
See how you feel & go to the Dr if concerned.
I must admit I get episodes exactly matching what you describe quite frequently - sometimes I put it down to being a random bug & other times I put it down to my IBS.
Gallbladder problems can also cause symptoms like you describe, but I know that is not the case with me as have had mine checked numerous times.
Also stupid H pylori (which started all my problems) can cause symptoms like you describe.
Consider taking 1000mg of Mastic Gum ASAP if you have it nearby. Maybe more.
Always keep activated charcoal capsules nearby for emergency "nausea" cases. You should've popped a bunch of capsules between lunch and evening, it would've reduced the damage the bad food does to the stomach and may have prevented you from throwing up.
