Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.

Has anyone gone down the path of protein supplements in the interest of stabilising their weight or even gaining a bit?

Interesting Topic Soretum. I haven't even thought of it because I am enjoying the weightloss. When I get too small I will consider it, so I will keep a close eye on this topic to see some of the replies.

Have you consulted your naturalpath about the supplements?

my naturopath says if I haven't gained some weight in a month will try them. It will be hard to find one I won't react with I guess, but she'll do her best to sauce a good one. I can't afford to lose any more weight. There wasn't much of me to begin with so now I'm a bag of bones.
I'd gladly forego all the foods I'm unable to eat and never have them again if only I could be well.

I've had to drink protein shakes recently to treat a hip injury (I'm doing PRP therapy). I got some powder stuff I put in a glass of milk, and it tastes awful. I am not drinking it as much as I should. Surprisingly, the chocolate didn't bother my tummy.

I don't know if I will go down that path. I'm not drinking milk. I don't like it unless its in tea or chocolate so I'm not bothering with it just now. One thing I know is i'm locking my bathroom scales away today. I don't intend on looking at them for some time. The last time I lost more weight I panicked and ate my self into three days of pain.
