Try taking 2000mg of Taurine before going to bed. See if things change after a week.

Yes, I have sufferered palpitations too. But I believe mine were from lansoprazole. I get shortness of breath occassionally due to swelling of the stomach.

Yes. when my gastritis was worse they were very bad. it was scary man! Especially when i would lay down or if i would get up to go to the bathroom, my heart would just pound in my chest, causing my to have anxiety and that just made it worse. I had several anxiety attacks too because i suffer from panic disorder.

I got the same thing it worse when my anxiety attacks me, I take propranolol to control it and my high blood pressure. Does anyone also get pressure in lower abdomen seems like in a diaphram. I I was diagnosed with gastritis and barrett's esophagus for almost 3 months now, so much discomfort in my tummy and chest. I feel like my life had turn upside down. I also have a dry cough a lot of times feel like asthma, but I went to Pulmonary doctor did the x-ray ant PFT test and my lungs were fine. What is the best treatment for barrett's esophagus? Does anyone here have it? I need some advise please....

And I always have a dry cough. I think some of that is allergies. I get a burning in my throat and mough which could be from the reflux, allergies, or even my MS. Johngreen my heart pounds at the most quiet times too and it is so scary. I can feel when my h/r is going up. It doesn't get out of control, but I know when it's happening. One more thing. There are times when I can't tell if I'm having palpitations or if it's a gastric spasm that's making me feel the flutter. I'm well acquainted with palpitations, but since they have slowed down and the gastritis has taken over the sensations are giving me mixed signals. Anyone else? Can you tell which is which?

I used to have trouble telling if it was my heart too. I would get this strange feeling in my chest and think i was half palps but really i wasnt. I also have anxiety issues and so i think that contributed to it as well.

I think heart palpatations are related to being sick in general. Don't we have palpatations when we have the flu and stuff like that? Or even if you are hungover from a night of drinking and your body is in full blown recovery mode your heart will beat all hard like that
