Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
Try to eat 4 or 5 small meals a day, only with rice or potatoes for a week with no sault or anything. To drink only still water or chamomilla tea. Then you can see if you're feeling better!
I'm sorry for all of us. We do not deserve this. I can't imagine dealing with this kind of pain and sickness for 5 years! You'd think modern medicine would have come up with a treatment by now.
I've never taken drugs and don't drink or smoke... never have. My gallbladder is gone also. So is my appendix, female parts and part of my small bowel. Not much left to go wrong. But, I have MS, Graves Disease, IBS, degenerative disc disease etc. Lots of stuff against me. My body is fighting itself.
Hoping for better days for all of us.
It is very soothing for the stomach. Try it, it should help your stomach heal. Eat as often as you can, don't let your stomach sit empty.
Hope this helps you.
Also, whatever medication you are taking, drink lots of water with it. It will help it dissolve faster. Most pills irritate the stomach. I just read an article about this, thought I should mention it.
Stress and anxiety is also a huge trigger for Gastritis, that's my problem.
Maybe we should open a Topic about Meds used for that.
