Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.

Gastritis is different for everyone with different causes & severity. It is not a condition to recover quickly from.
With a good regime of the right medication for you & strict bland diet (most important) you can feel improvement in weeks & months, but you might need to manage a careful diet & take medication for years or even a lifetime.
The problem is that the stomach lining is inflamed & under neverending attack from erosive acid & enzymes produced in the stomach.
