Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
Otherwise, maybe try going the heat route and sit with a heating pad behind your back (just don't forget to unplug it--I have to watch that!). I don't know why that sometimes works better than ice, but often, at least for me, it does.
This condition sure does depend on the individual person though, and I'm finding our damp, rainy week here is causing my body to "flare." I'm waiting for sunshine!
