Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.

A word of caution, it is dangerous to mix Tramadol with anti-depressants as Tramadol contains an SSRI. Mixing the two can cause serotonin syndrome which is life threatening. Always let your doctor know you are taking Tramadol and ask what your options are for pain if you go down the route of taking an anti-depressant. And also be aware that Tramadol can cause pretty wicked withdrawals if you've taken it for some time and then just stop taking it. If you are going to stop the Trams, it would be wise to do a taper. The drug is hailed as a non-narcotic and non-addictive, however, neither is true.
