Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
Have you been checked for food intolerances? I flare with the slightest whisper of any grain (not just the gluten grains) but white rice and even that hurts sometimes.
Taking probiotics, enzymes? Eating yogurts?
All of these were the first line of defense for me.
I still do all of the above 2 yrs in every day, but when I'm flaring (like now), I add warm or cold (not hot) flaxseed tea, marshmallow root tea (sometimes mixed together), mashed beets (very soothing).... I agree a naturopath is your next best stop!
