Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
My acupuncture needles go also in my feed, my hands and my face. So all the points my stomach and my mind is connected to in the Chinese Medicine.

You were right about staying involved and busy, I try to visit my neighbors or talk on the phone it moves the time, and I'm always looking for a walking partner.
My needles got into my legs, wrist, head, nose and stomach. I love the feeling after, very relaxing,and a heating lamp on my stomach to heat up the needles.
Iberogast works great for my mobility, moving the food out of the stomach and into intestines, great BM.relieving indigestion.
I did try eating smaller meals more often in the beginning. I don't know if that made a difference - anything and everything would flare me up, even greek yogurt... I stuck to bland foods and tried not to overeat - not hard when you're in so much pain. It took about a couple of months for each of my flares to subside, and I did notice that it responded immediately to the PPI ( it doesn't for many people)

Right now I'm coasting along.. I've had considerably more good days than bad days in October and November, but not out of the woods by any means. It's very easy to make little mistakes that will set me back again. Like herm said, I want to shoot for 85-90%. I don't care if I ever have spicy food back, I just want my life to be almost normal again.
