Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
I am getting worse pain instead of it getting better it is getting harder to cope with. I can,t sleep with it now,the past few weeks have been hell. Im now on 3 PPIs a day which don,t seem to do a lot and have been trying Slippery elm sometimes. My doctor suggested that I have another endoscopy I don,t know though. You would think it would get easier but mine is flaring up more and more with constant pain. Ive been wondering if I have bile reflux all this time with it not improving. I don,t know what to do now,its just agony. Also Ive lost benefit money and am expected to find a job. How can I work in all this pain? Im really depressed and can,t even eat properly. My life is totally miserable with this. I try to cut out coffee and chocolate. Something has to work I can,t go on like this. Should I change my PPI? That is another thing the doctor suggested. Ive already been on Lansoprazole and Omeprazole now Pantoprazole and I get no relief. I seem to be getting worse while others are getting better. It means that I do very little in a day because of the pain and Im so frustrated. I just wanted to vent it. I feel so scared with this.
Hang in there. You will feel better and keep calling your doctor if you have too..I called mine for about a month straight...I was in hell for about a month or so where I would cry and cry and I know what you mean about it. You can't when your just that sick..
