Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
I have ADHD which some doctors misread as stress and I had several doctors refuse to treat me a few years ago because they thought I was just stressed out. But I insisted they do further testing. Turns out that one time I had sick sinus syndrome and now I have a pacemaker. The other time a had a severe mastoid infection and I needed immediate surgery . After surgery the surgeon told me that the infection was just about spreading to my brain . Both conditions would have killed me. So I would say, please push for the endoscopy and have him look at your stomach to see what is going on.
Regarding stress personally, learning what causes you stress and listening to your body is the best personal advice I found for assisting with managing it- especially when I had gastritis.
Good luck and hope you begin to feel better soon.
Also consciously letting it drop, telling myself it isn't worth it...
and,
Xanax....
Gastrin levels affect how much gastric acid is produced in the stomach.
More stress = more gastric acid = more pain
