Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.

Who knew snow peas were a legume?
I had promised myself I would research ANYTHING new from now on before eating it. I got some fresh snow peas from my parents garden and assumed I'd be ok as I can eat green peas. Boy was I wrong. After having a good day yesterday in nearly 6 weeks today I'm back to sitting with the wheat bag on my tummy. Could I be a bigger idiot? Of course the answer is no.
My reason for posting this is a warning to others. Dont' do what I did. Follow through with your plans and rules. I can't believe I'm here again. I only pray it's short lived.

Even when I'm healed (if ever hah, Ive had this for years 2-4 can't even count anymore) and young. I'd never go back to eating spicy or any of those irritating foods again, I wouldnt want to get it again or cause some strange stomach problem to come back!! This will be a lifelong change for me personally healed or not.

I feel the same way. No way will I eat anything that will upset my tummy once I'm healed. It will remain trial and error but when I work out a no no food that will be it for me and that ingredient.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
