Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.

Hi all,
A neighbour gave me some fresh fijoa and I'm wanting to know if anyone can eat them safely. I've never tried them before and know little about them. any feedback will be welcome.

after having a scrappy week of it with my IBS I wasn't brave enough to try and game them to a friend whose flat mate loves them. Maybe another time. I'm happy to reintroduce old foods and take the risk of pain but am less ambitious with new foods. I was going to but my confidence goes when the pain returns.
Today it is settling again so hopefully tomorrow will be a better day again.
