Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.

How on earth are you managing that much water. I harldly drink at all these days. I drink when taking tablets, four times a day and I've just started drinking small bits inbetween times. It only fills me up but offers no nutrition so I'm not worrying about how much I consume these days. I use to drink 1.8 litres daily. A lot of my food has water in it. I stop drinking in the afternoon with maybe a sip some nights after 6pm. I know we're all different with this, but I seem to be the only one struggling with fluid intake. Oh well.
If however you are noticing spasms in your lower GI/back or legs along with the tightness, get back to the doctor. It could indicate an infection or IBD/IBS disorder.
Thanks for the advice. I will try to increase the fluids. Must be done slowyl though.
