Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.

Hi everyone,
I may have mentioned EFT before but I'm getting some good results with it so want to share the wealth.
EFT is Emotional Freedom Technique that uses a series of acupuncture points to help with physical or emotional pain.
this link to youtube is a basic form. Mine is a little more involved but I know my acupuncturist uses this form.

In all honesty, how painful is acupuncture? Have often thought of trying it, but hate pain. Just the thought of it makes me shudder.. :(

acupuncture does not hurt. you don't feel the needles going in. they tweak the needles to get the chi flowing and you'll feel sensation at that point. Once in it is so relaxing and I know its helping me on so many levels. It complements every thing else I'm doing. be bold and try. or search for a therapist that works on the points minus the needles. Avoid 'dry needling' as this can be painful. it is done by people who are not acupuncturists (physios etc) and is different so beware not to have that if you don't want pain.
good luck and let us know if you try. Many doctors do it these days and that may make claiming the cost easier.
