Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
How many of you find that your symptoms begin to subside as the day progesses?
In my current progression in healing I find that my worst time of the day is between breakfast and lunch. An hour or two after breakfast is the worst time of the day for me. As soon as I eat lunch the symptoms can almost completely subside. Usually my afternoons and evenings are realtively pain and symptom free. Not always but usually.
PS. I'm not talking about the initial flare up . I hurt ALL the time when it first flares up. Im asking about once you ve begun to treat it.

Mine is worse as the day progresses!

Yes, it is worse for me when I wake up. I take a ppi in the morning and an hour before lunch I take a Carafate. I do feel a bit better after that and lunch. I think the double ppi is bothering me a bit.

How is your stress level in the afternoon? Try some breathing techniques or other relaxation methods during the day and see if it helps improve things. It is probably not a cure all, but hopefully it will lead to a slight improvement.

I believe my symptoms are worse in the morning. I really need to get back to keeping a journal. On top of all the gastro issues, I had blisters appear on my left breast two weeks ago. Anxiety has been high and I thought it was shingles but I have no pain. Doctor said no to shingles and suggested a cream but they aren't healing well. I'm hoping it is just bug bites LORD knows.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
