Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.

Cold Brew Coffee

Has anyone tried reintroducing coffee back into their diet, in the form of cold brew? I have read it is less acidic than your normal pot of coffee and one of my big goals is I hope I can drink coffee again.

The icecream cooles down the inflammation first, it's the same with milk. But in longterm it does more acid and damage.

I would stick to a very very blind diet until you had absolutely no pain for a few weeks or months.

I feel the same way with Greek yogurt, I can eat it all day, but it has to be plain. It's very soothing and it settles my stomach. I've been eating it for months, but I can't eat frozen yogart or ice cream hurts my stomach, don't like anything cold.

I make my own yoghurt which is very mild and not very acidic at all, its more Greek yoghurt type, again just plain with honey I find works for me. I agree about not eating the lactic stuff too much as long term this could be damaging, I keep it to a minimum.

I am back to the Gastro specialist next week just to see whats what, meanwhile I will keep taking the pills!!
