Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
between a strong cup of black coffee and over the counter aspirin, which one is more likely to damage an otherwise healthy stomach lining if taken long term maybe assuming everyday?????????? between these two which one has more acid and the type of acid that will cause more damage to an otherwise healthy stomach lining??????????????? can a doctor or someone who knows please tell me. rsvp. thank you.
From what I have read I know aspirin is really bad for your stomach lining...I believe coffee can irritate the lining but aspirin causes the erosion. The coffee has more acid I think....and can cause flare ups. Have you had a scope done?
