Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
I can eat a few canned mandarin oranges chopped up in plain yogurt but that's about my limit. To get enough Vit C I take an extended release tablet which doesn't start to dissolve til it gets past my stomach... I take 500 mg once a week.
For me, Vitamin C tablets are a No-go zone too. found out first hand too. I eat apple once a day. That is my Vitamin C fix...
broccoli and brussels sprouts have a lot of vitamin c, and cauliflower does a bit, too. this is a good link - http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tname=nutrient&dbid=109
For the last few years I am unable to tolerate multi vitamins. They absolutely kill my stomach but the chewy kids ones seem to sit a bit better.
