Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
The good news is my medications seems to be controlling my gastritis. The unbearable pain has been downgraded to mild discomfort feeling like gas or nausea. And most of the attacks happen at night.
The bad news is I am eating less and less foods. I was sent to the hospital the other day because I told my doctor I've been eating nothing but saltines for five days! Luckily, I was only mildly dehydrated and was ordered to drink G2 diluted with water to gain my electrolytes back. And mom bought me some organic vanilla wafers, I seem to be keeping them down just fine. I also have some chicken and baby foods.
This is simply a post asking for hopes and prayers. And reminding people that, no matter how bad your gastritis is, don't make the same mistake I did.

You are so right! I agree we need hope and prayer; also lots of patience with this condition and with ourselves.
