Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.

They found nothing on these tests. Are they good tests? or should i continue on to the endoscopy and colonoscopy? I really don't want to take the other tests. But am feeling like maybe I should. The tests all came back normal, but I have intense heartburn/Gerd, and burning in my stomach.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Endoscopy should be always done with a Gastritis.
And i love being on Propofol while it ...

I just had the endoscopy and as much as I dreaded it I'm glad I got it out of the way as I got the definite diagnosis of erosive gastritis, hiatal hernia and esophagitis reflux. Endocopy they can see it all first hand in those areas// The test was not bad I didn't feel a thing. Now I am pressing n for the cause and will keep going until I'm completely in the know and getting treatment

Add gastric emptying study, it shows how long food takes to digest I,n your stomach, that how I found out I had gastroparesis.

You really should go ahead with the other tests, I was dreading endoscopy beyond belief but it was no trouble at all and not what I had imagined, it's not that bad at all. For me the barium test was horrendous I hated that one and would prefer to do endoscopy again rather than. Barium!!!

Thanks all you guys tor your thoughts. I think your guys are right!

I just wish I did not have to go under. I have high blood pressure and don't trust any of these doctors anymore. I'v had a few tell me I had something and then I didn't so and it seems every test I have done they almost always tell me I need surgery,i,e. gallstones they sent me to the surgeon and he said no way. You don't have any symptoms so why would I take out your gallbladder that has happened twice now with two different surgeons.

Both told me I have acid reflux and not having issues with gallstones It's true I don't have any of the pain people get from gallstones. just bad pain in my chest area and stomach burning pain ,I guess is how I would describe it.

They did, however, find a lot of stool in my cecum what ever that means. I will talk to my doctor coming up but geez what else!
