Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
the only fruits that are okay for me are bananas
Strawberries+bananas+carrots may be OK, depending on your condition, but don't drink on empty stomach.
Strawberries & apples are acidic. Most juices stimulate acid or bile production so be very careful.
Bananas are ok... well they used to be for me - they were my "go to" food for snacks & to relieve burning of gastritis... until my IBS decided it hated them. Stupid, ridiculous digestive system!
I'm better now, so banana-mango is my favorite. But it took me many months to be able to stomach the mango...
I don't juice but find papayas soothe my stomach.
