Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
after i started dealing with gastritis, i am starting to wake up everymorning between 7-8am, this morning i woke up at 6 am. So when i wake up i get a little bit of hunger feeling and mostly anxiety, even if i try to go back to sleep the anxiety keeps me from falling asleep again. As soon as i go out of bed the anxiety fades away, dont know why this happens :/ i go to sleep in good mood and no anxiety or anything.. any ideas?
My GI issues started this past Dec. 3 ER visits, colonoscopy and endoscopy, tons of labs and a hospital admission for 4 days and I still don’t have a diagnosis as everything has come back normal. Normal findings is great news but it’s a also very frustrating. I started taking lexapro daily and Xanax as needed because the anxiety and stress of the situation and it has helped tremendously because I was also waking up in the middle of the night with anxiety. I would try getting the anxiety under control whether it’s with meds, meditation whatever method you prefer because anxiety is going to worsen your GI issues. I’m hoping you get relief soon!
