Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
Hi everyone,
I've been discussing my gastritis with a dietician from work and want to share her tips for gaining weight.
She said to eat as much protein as your system can handle and to include it in all of our meals. So eat as much cheese and dairy, meat, fish, chicken and eggs. She said think of it as putting meat on your bones. Normally carbs would be good but we need to build our immune systems and protein will do that more effeciently.
I'm going to start having it in all of my five meals every day from now on.

I can do potatos as well, they are my best friend but you get sick of eating them over and over and over again. I love variety and I miss that so much!!!!

After 4 1/2 months the scales are going in the right direction. I think the Manuka honey has helped as it's a carboydrate and I take four serves daily.
