I just got done reading "The weight loss surgery coping companion"
I think its pretty darn helpful for the emotional junk that we need to work on... It is a workbook of sorts. Just 66 pages long, easy to read, and divided out by sections.
It has a chapter on each of the following:
Life after wt loss surgery
HOW TO COPE WITH -
loneliness
anger
anxiety
depression
identity confusion
depression
the urge to overeat
Getting organized
Tips for finding a therapists
Progressive muscle relaxation script
Like I mentioned above, it is in workbook fashion. After you read the chapter, it asks you specific questions and asks you to journal about them.
Overall, I think it is a pretty cool book and recommend it to anyone looking to work on the head stuff :) I would imagine there is something in it that would help most anyone dealing with the head stuff. I am glad I bought it and plan on wearing it out!
