2) getting back on ice skates after 5 or 6 years...and it was so much fun!
3) taking it easy on a snowy non-work day to enjoy some coffee and downtime
4) knowing every day does not have to be "productive one" allows me time to relax and recoup for the rest of the week
Thanks for the post!
if it were only my happiness for you today alone, that'd be just fine with me beautiful girl!
Always loved you young lady!
Brett
you are such an asset to this site.
I was answering an e-mail from a new friend who I haven't met in person. We're meeting for lunch later in the week, and I explained to know what I look like she can check out our club's website. Then I looked at the picture (the one that was my first profile pic here) and had to also let her know that I've lost "a bit" of weight since then! But in looking at it, I feel I barely even look like the same person as just a few months ago!
Can't ask for anything more.
Happy!
JJ
My "happys" so far for the day are:
1. After 2 days of dealing with a sick kiddo, I have had no puke to clean up today lol.
2. Ive come to the realization that the one thing I thought would surely break me, has actually been a blessing in disguise.
3. That I took the day off work and am spending the morning snuggling in bed with my son.
4. I have a wonderful man in my life, who never fails to amaze me...and always makes me smile!
Getting out of bed and wanting to be active instead of wanting to lay there until 11am.
Stepping on the scale this morning and realizing that I weigh less than I have since I was 22 years old. This has been 15 years in the making. 175#... Happy.
Knowing that I CAN do anything I set my mind to. Positive thoughts = positive outcome.
I love posts like this... Thanks for asking!
I'm thankful to have the opportunity to keep on living. It's up to me to make that the best it can be. I choose to be happy as happy as possible and not let anything or anybody bother me too much.
Another one, is I was off work on Friday and my hubby and I went for coffee, we would normally sit at a table with chairs with no sides, well Friday, I parked my smaller behind right now in a chair with arms and could actually rest my arms on the arm rests!
I am down a total of 93lbs since June 2010 (35 pre and 58 post)
1) I not only cooked bacon for the family, but only had 2 pieces, which is really only one piece as i usually cut the bacon in half...don't ask...mama did it, so I do too...
2) had my godson here this weekend. love that boy like my own..he suffers from some behavior problems, but when he is with me...everything is good in the hood...he loves his aunt Beth...
3) the weather is to die for beautiful this weekend, and flowers are starting to bloom in my yard...that is always a winner with me...mama calls me her flower child...and it's NOT because I was born in the summer of '69...
4) am able to clean my whole house, do all the laundry, including folding, ironing, and putting them all away with out having to take a break between each activity..
5) and my bestest happy for today??? made the reservation for my vacation in June...first one in many years...going with my best friend...we are super excited...nothing fancy, but just a week away...no kids, no husbands or significant others or anybody else for that matter...all girl stuff, all the time....
think Biltmore house in Asheville, NC, gambling at the Harrah's in Cherokee, NC, shopping, flea markets, tubing down the green river...bike rides down the blue ridge parkway...
OMG I am so excited....come on JUNE 20....
my happies for the day....SO FAR...it's still early yet...give me time.
Today, I am happy because:

3. I was able to have a normal breakfast out with friends.
4. There are deer tracks in our yard and moose roaming about the land.

And again the sleeping in and not being sick...my son was sick and with me most of the week.....I used to always get his flus and colds and thankfully I don't feel like I'm getting sick at all. So thankful for better immunity......
Thankful for a few extra days with my little sickie son ...as much as I fear getting sick, I am a mom and feel I should care for my little boy when he is not well...normally he would have been with his dad Fri. And sat but they just had a baby last week and were afraid of getting the baby sick
And I'm thankful my sons little sister is healthy.....her mom is 40 and we know the risks involved...
Book club is today....looking forward to seeing good friends and having small glass of wine
Also thankful mba almost complete!
Most thankful for Ds and the brighter future I can see because of this surgery!...
Thanks for the post....I was feeling a bit sad and lonely this morning...it makes a difference to write down the things we r thankful for...think I will start journaling again....
I love your list... I am so proud of you! You keep up the good work....
I am happy today than Nancy had 2 full good days, she was able to talk and eat. My mom is alive, my kids are all doing well. I am feeling awesome. I am also happy that Lu was around, I love him dearly.

Yesterday I cleaned out my closet. I have a small mountain of clothes to give away now, and a very manageable closet. I still can get by without buying much because I had three sizes in there! Now two of them are too big! I figure my April, I'm going to need a trip to the outlet malls in Gilroy, CA!
I dropped another pound when I hit the scale this morning. Two pounds a week for two weeks in a row. That's a record for me since my awful stall 3.5 weeks PO! I think my body finally understands it's okay to discard the fat. And, I think I've figured out how to eat (at least for the time being) to keep the weight coming off. Oddly, for me the secret seems to be beef. When I eat beef at night, I'm down in the morning. Weird, but true. So I'm smiling.
1) Beautiful clear blue sky & sunshine
2) Long bike ride through the flowering cherry/plum trees and mustard fields
3) Long walk & a latte out with my hunny
4) BTV's version of Chicago deep dish pizza - OMG, GOOD!!! Hope the men folk don't find the little piece I hid in the back of the fridge!
Life is good :)
