I eat three meals a day and sometimes a snack I also drink my own lattes with a good amount of milk. My meals are generally 3-4 ounces of meat and veggys. I usually have fruit with one meal. My program does not do protein shakes so all my protein comes from my meals.

I'm almost 16 months PO, and I've developed reactive hypoglycemia. I have to eat about 5X per day to manage my glucose and I hate it! I'd much rather do the three meals and one snack deal. That's just me. Bottom line is that this is a learning curve--how to each during recovery and how to eat when we are maintaining. You'll go through some trial and error untl you figure out what works for you. It's really important, whatever your program, to keep a daily food diary. It will help you and your medical team better understand how your body responds to food so that you can make wise choices.
All that said, during weight loss, I got in 800-1000 calories per day, mostly all proteins or fats--very little carb.
Blessings,

Breakfast, mid morning, protein drink for lunch, mid afternoon and dinner. Things like deli chicken or roast beef and cheese, a piece of WASA toast and half a banana or orange or apple for snacks is good. When I quit working, for a couple of years, I ate a good lunch and had protein for dinner.
