You can do this! After I recover from surgery I'll probably try the 5 day pouch test to work on my last few pounds. Post and let us know how you are doing.

I have heard the 5 day pouch test mentioned before but dont understand what it is. Can someone explain?

5 day pouch test is ba ck to basics day 1 and 2 are shakes and jello just like post op, day 3 soft foods, day 4 soft proteins and day 5 dense proteins. helps shrink the pouch back to size and get back track.

Lineka, you are strong and lovely and you can do it. Those Triscuits are just the devil in disguise! Not that they are necessarily bad in themselves, but if they lure you off track and keep you there, then they are not for you. I have the same problem with them so I had to give them to my husband to keep in his truck!

I will pray for you and you can pray for me, I am having troubles staying focused on my goal right now. Not due to the holidays so much as the gloomy weather and too much to do. But we shall overcome, right? We didn't go through all this just to quit now!

Hi lineka! You and I have travelled this journey together. My surgery was 12/27/11. It's been an amazing year to say the least. And I remember being so upset over being a slow loser and you were so awesome to talk to. I think you and I lost at the same pace. Now as far as you battling back and forth with the four pounds. Get the trigger foods out of the house. I always ask myself before I eat something is this benefiting me or is it wasted calories? Just go back to the basics. Protein first. And remember too this can be a stressful challenging time of year. All kinds if goodies. Emotional eating can take over. When your feeling the urge to start munching take note of why and how your feeling. How much more do you want to lose? Good luck to you! You can do this!!

Oh one more thing. My weight loss has slowed down tremendously. I hadn't lost anything for many weeks and then all of a sudden last few weeks I'm down another 5 pounds. I really thought I was done losing.

I ope you're doing well with the 5 day pouch test. I'm only five months out and used his o break through a stubborn plateau. It was effective to get the scale moving again.
