Before you decide to move to the USA to lose weight, you might want to consider just flying in once a week to weigh yourself. It will give you a chance to slowly acclimate. It takes awhile to get used to water running down the drains clockwise rather than counter-clockwise.
Have a great week Marty and keep up the good work!
Thanks for sharing.

.1 of a kilo this week, that's .22 of a pound. so last week nothing and this week pretty much nothing, I know I know we will have plateaus, but going through them aint easy. I will just stick at it, on the positive side, in 13 weeks post op I haven't had 1 gain, 1 week which was last week I stayed the same but 12 weeks all loses. but time is my friend and in time I will get there.
9 weeks until my review with my surgeon so hopefully some more weight off for that
have a great week everyone
I'm rooting for you Marty!

I am back painting as a job so on the move all the time. but I do have that feeling inside that I want to run. maybe I should do something.
really down about it all and thinking if I had done the wrong thing getting the surgery, but I bet that's just normal.
have a great day
Marty
some good news, yesterday I had an interview for a 2nd job, in hospitality. they did a phone interview on Saturday and had me down for doing cashier work, then yesterday I had a face to face and as soon as the interview looked at my resume she said i can't understand why they would have you as a cashier (I will do whatever they ask me to do) anyway she asked if i would do a corporate box this saturday night (we have 3 big events on Sat night, one sold out 52,000 and the other 40,000 both are Australian codes of real football our guys don't wear pads and there is no such a thing as an offensive or defensive team each player is out there for 90% of the game plus horse racing so a big night for the city) she also asked me if i could manage a bar as well, probably a good thing I speak English fluently, there were about 15 other people there and I was the only one dressed properly or could speak English, plus I was the best looking one there.
bless you all
Marty
Marty, this comment put a huge grin on my face. Keep this thought in your head when you're feeling discouraged. Look back at how far you've come. Plateaus are expected and normal, but that doesn't mean we have to like them, right?
Good luck with the new job and keep on keeping on!
Your friend in the USA,
