I do that naturally anyway because it seems like I spend most of my day trying to get my water down.
You might be able to find it out there on the internet somewhere if you do a goole search on rules of the pouch.
Sorry...I wasn't much help.
Near the end there is a heading "EVALUATION FOR WEIGHT LOSS FAILURE" that talks about testing the pouch to make sure food isn't going from the 'small' stomach to the 'large' stomach if the staple line is not intact.
With modern gastric bypass, the large stomach is completly separated from the pouch. Still it is an excellent read and gives a lot of great advise.
Recently, around here it was in the Pouch Rules article. I'm sure Leslie was the last one to post it!
To water load just means to drink a good amount of water fairly quickly about 15 minutes before eating a meal.
The reason this is done is to moisten the food you eat to make it swell so it stays closer to your pouch for a longer period of time.
You won't be eating quite as much in a sitting due to getting full faster, and you won't feel as hunger quite so soon after eating.
I believe in the 60's Water loading was toted as the best diet plan ever! and they were right kinda! for Normies it works even better because they still have the valve at the bottom of their stomach! but when water loading for a normie, when the stomach gets full of water and swells it sends a hormonal signal to the brain to stop eating (Greyhlin). The full feeling will stay with the dieter for a while so during the meal They aren't ravenous, and can eat the right amount.
I hope this helps!
God Bless!

My Nurses told me that when they see weight gain, it is people 1) drinking with meals, 2) people drinking carbonated beverages.
Again, Just my opinion. (And my medical teams advice).
So far, my Medical team has been right on. I'm sticking with their advice.
