I was watching a documentary about a man who weighted 900lbs who was trying to get gastric bypass. He didnt get a chance to save his life he passed away in his sleep. This show made me cry because that was my mom at one point she weight over 1000 pounds i helped her lose 400 but she never got to fully get healthy and she lost her battle to. Im am so forunate to have gotten this surgery and lost most of my weight, i wish my sister could see how much there weigh is effecting there health everyone in the family is 400 lbs or more so they dont think its a issue.this show brought back alot of emotion i just wanted to say how thankful i am to have my health well most of back.
Some days I have felt sorry for myself and my aches and pains.... Then I am reminded of others with struggles worse than mine. There is a beautiful young woman I met at my surgeons office who has lost 100 lbs (and is still losing) and is still bigger than I am. She talks about how much easier it is to be mobile now... and how much better she feels... And I think, ones persons hell is anothers heaven :) And I feel deservedly put in my place :) I cannot ever imagine the struggles he (or your mother) experienced and my heart goes out to them...
