Hi Everyone, I started back to work today. I have a daycare and it is always hectic. My daughter is helping me for a few weeks. I feel like I am taking away her maternity leave, but she has been great. I think everyone should have someone like her. You really need someone atleast I did for the first week to help, measure and remind.
I have lost 17 lbs since surgery. I can see it in my face of all places, I don't really care where it comes from as long as it goes.
Yesterday I started on Mashed foods and it was better than SEX!! OMG it was soooo good lol. I did fine. So I have had several meals, mashed and I am fine. I am measuring in a measuring cup, doing the fluids when I am suppose to too. All is well, I guess there have been so many with issues I am waiting for the other shoe to fall. Maybe it gets much worse when I go to real food? I hope not because I am Very positive right now and even though there were some emotional crazieness, I am so glad I did this. Thanks to all of you. Let me tell you that once you have lost some more weight sex is better than it has ever been and I can assure you it is better than any mashed food!! ; D
Don't worry about that shoe dropping, if it does you will handle it the best that you can. I have been one of the very lucky ones with no real complications other than low B12 and iron which can be dealt with.
Keep those spirits up and congratulations on becoming a loser.
What a wonderful job you are doing, what an inspiration! I agree I needed a few days at home with gentle reminders to make sure I get everything in. My parents helped the 1st week and my kids are on spring break this week. My middle one is my reminder, in fact in typing this she bought me a calcium tab to munch on, lol.
Take it easy at work. Work will always be there.
