Call your Nut, my Nut said to take 2 flinstones, I am two weeks out, I am getting regular blood tests to see if I will need any other suppliments Calcium, Vit. D, B12 and Iron are all markers for fatigue but you can overdose on Vit. D, Iron and B12, so you want to be careful

I take a vitamin D when I get up in the am Then I take 2 "bariatric Fusion" vitamins with breakfast and 2 with dinner. The Bariatric Fusion has everything in it that I need and all my lab work comes back normal.

Mora2007, They are chewable, my favorite flavor is Tropcal, and the orange creme is really good. I didn'y liike the strawberry, and the cherry flavor isn't bad. They're available online and it's about $25.00 for a months supply. For me it's worth it because adding up all the over the counter supplements it's actually cheaper and the convenience is totally worth it.

But I've been taking all of my pills at night since three months out and my blood tests have been normal.

I will have a physical and blood tests tomorrow and that will tell me if what I've been doing is working. My PC didn't think it necessary at my 1 year checkup, but I want to be sure at almost 18 months that I am OK. I will weigh in more after I have my results.

You should take your calcium two hours apart from iron supplements of your multi if it has iron in it. I believe iron keeps your body from absorbing the calcium.

I take two Centrum Gummi Vites, in the morning and two in the evening. My NUT isn't thrilled with me taking these but I cannot stand the chalky texture of chewable vitamins. I also take two 1000 mg of vitamin D3 when I take my multi vitamin. I use GNC's chewy type they are like tootsie rolls. I just had my blood work for my 6 month check up and I was low in my B1 so I have added one of those a day and added calcium. I bought Bariatric Advantage chewy calcium in caramel they tast like candy. So basically I take

Centrum Gummi Multi Vitamin - 2 chews twice a day (total of 4)

GNC Chewy D3 1000 mg - 2 chews twice a day (total 4000 mg my D3 is consistantly low when I get my blood checked so the surgeon doubled my dose)

GNC B1 - 500 mg 1x per day

Bariatric Advantage - Calcium Chewy bite - 1500 mg per day (3 chewy bites) I spread them out through the day.

8am - One a day women's formula multi vitamin
Sublingual liquid B-Complex
Rx Potassium
600mg Calcium w/500 iu vit D

8pm - blood pressure med
Rx potassium
5000mcg Biotin
600mg Calcium w/500 iu vit D

I use Spring Valley products from Wal-Mart (big bottles = big value for me)

I just had my 18 month bloodwork and results were spectacular!

If you take a multivitamin containing iron (or an iron supplement) and you take a calcium supplement, its a good idea to take them at different times. High doses of calcium, especially calcium carbonate, the form found in most supplements, can block the absorption of iron.

Try taking your multivitamin with breakfast and your calcium supplement at dinner or before bed. Taking calcium late in the day can also help you relax and fall asleep more easily.

I an 3 months out and just got my lab work back and it was PERFECT...here is my regimen:
Morning...1 spring valley prenatal vitamin
3 vitafusion gummy calcium
1 Bariatric advantage dry vit D

Night... 1 spring valley prenatal vitamin
1 Bariatric chewable iron

And on Sunday and Wednesday I take 1 spring valley sublingual B12 5000 mcg

Spring valley is very inexpensive which is only an added bonus
