I just learned this evening that my Mom is in the hospital as a result of a fall she took going out to eat dinner with some friend on Saturday. The parking lot and entrance lighting was poor at best so she didn't see the curb and went down on her right knee. She has had both knees replaced and has been doing just fine for years. Well now she has staph cellulitis as a result and the infection is moving toward her artificial knee. They have put her on IV antibiotics and hope to prevent it from reaching the knee. If they are not successful there is a strong probability that she could lose her leg to save her life. She will be 80 in the spring and I am not sure she would survive that type of surgery.
She and I both are asking for prayers. What man is unable to do HE can do.

This kind of stress makes me want to eat for comfort, but in my head I know that in the long run it will only hurt me not help me.

I was an emotional eater myself and everything that threatened my peace sent me into a binge well let me share this. This 2013 year has tried me like no other. Every illness, sickness, trial and tribulation that could occur has occurred the latest is my aunt being diagnosed with lung cancer after suffering a stroke. Not to mention getting my husband through hip replacement on his right side and waiting with him as he begins preparation for the one on his left side. My tired is tired and yet I still move forward with peace in my heart in knowing that I am not the same person today that I was yesterday. I have a new body and a new mindset and I know that what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger. So you, my new friend CAN AND WILL HANDLE THIS WITHOUT TURNING TO FOOD. It is not your answer.
