Well, it's been a couple weeks since I last posted so it is time to give an update. It's been one month today since my surgery and things are going as well as can be expected. I have lost a total of 45 pounds and am now allowed to eat chicken and fish (what a welcomed change).
As I had stated before, my incision healed almost and there is a hole in my stomach that has to be packed everyday so it will heal from the inside out. Well, yesterday the surgeon decided to put a vacuum on it as it is not healing. Not to mention he had to open up another area just below it as it didn't heal. So now I have two holes in my stomach, the main one has three tunnels in it, on goes up to the right side and is about a foot or so long, the other goes up to the left side and is about a foot long also the third one goes down and is only about three inches long.
He had to open up the main hole and he did it with no pain med he just took his finger and shoved it in there and made it bigger so they can put the sponge in. Talk about hurt, my butt was doing the butt check crawl up that table trying to get out of there. Then he opened up the new hole, that sucker hurt, now I am a grown man and can take pain but, damn I wanted to kill him for opening that one up....
Well, get these damn holes healed and I can finally start living life to the fullest. At least using the vac they should heal a lot quicker versus packing them.
On a positive note.....I am loving every time I step on the scale. I haven't seen 368 on a scale in two years, down from 413 with my highest weight being 430. This is AWESOME!!!

That is amazing news about the 45lbs! I can't wait to be on that side of this journey.
Years (and years!) ago I had intestinal surgery that required an incision up my entire front almost... it was a B to recover from and I didn't have the healing issues you had! Ugggh!
Anyways.... sorry for the babble! And I am so glad to see that things are going so much better for you!!! CONGRATS on the wt loss too!!
