Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
It will answer these questions:
Does my pouch still work?
Have I broken my pouch?
Am I doomed to be a failure at this too?
Can I lose the weight I've regained?
Is the honeymoon with pouch over?
With the mental hunger thing, have you let carbs slip in lately? If I have 10 grams too many (I stick to 20 or less per meal), I get hungry, even if I got my proteins in. Maybe leave the white foods out for a while and see if that doesn't help? Also, are you journaling? It's easy to 'one bite here, one bite there' your way into trouble. Tougher to ignore when you write it down.
Take care, and thanks for sharing. Let us know how you're doing.
