I am 3 1/2 yrs post op. I have been very successful in my weight loss journey with no complications. I have lost 180 lbs and have gained about 18 pounds back. I have felt great until a few weeks ago. I have felt soooooo bloated and now I am having pain in my chest right around my chest bone. I don't have an appetite at all and if I do try to go ahead and eat, it makes the pain worse. Has anyone else had this?????

Have them check your gallbladder if you still have it. I had similar symptoms over the last few days and they did an ultrasound and found that I need to have mine out. I have surgery tomorrow.

jj had something I think similar pop up in her 3 rd year or so? it was serious if I remember right call the doc now

If you are in severe pain, go to the ER where you had your surgery. If it is moderately painful, see call your doctor and make an appointment ASAP. If you are throwing up, go to the ER.

Adhesions and/or twisting can kink our intestine and cut off the blood flow (an emergency situation). Time is of the essence. Do not delay treatment!!

I called the Dr. that did my surgery and they didn't seem too concerned. I talked to them at noon today and they said they would call back and they still haven't called, so they must not be too concerned.

Just because they aren't concerned doesn't mean you shouldn't be. If you are in pain, find out WHY!!!!

There is a laundry list of issues that can be associated with that pain some can be simple but others can be life threatening!
have you has any bloodwork done recently? Any time you have chest pain especially if you don't have a diagnosis you should be checked out immediately .if you surgeon wont see you you should at least go to your PCP to check you vitals and have an EKG hope you feel better soon but please don't ignore chest pain!
