Usually, I 'get' the Marston quotes you post quite quickly. However, I had to read this quote 3 times before I understood his use of the term 'total acceptance'. I tend to see 'total acceptance' in a mostly negative light because often, it conflates "what has been" with "what must be". And in this context, acceptance is a tool of control.
But upon a more careful reading, this is clearly not what Marston intended. Ultimately, I agree with Marston here, but I would have described it diferently.
