Just wanted to ask all of you to send best wishes to Punkey Bear!

As you know, she's been in the hosp for over 9 weeks now up in Canada... And today she had a 2 part surgery to see if they can finally get her fixed up!

She is quite a ways away from much of her family and gets few visitors. I know she checks in here as she is able! Lets let her know we're thinking of her! :)

Has anyone heard from punky? I've been thinking about her and worried about her being alone. I pray all went well for her and the surgery was a success.

Hi everyone !!! So glad to see all the love and support on her today ... First time I have had a chance to take a look, it's been a log few days!!

Surgery took 6 hours and the doctors managed to fix my pancreas and bile ducts ... So far they are happy with the results and my blood work is getting back to normal levels !!! :) I still have lots of pain and several very large incisions ( they got the packing out yesterday - after it was out it felt a lot better ) so now I've added to my scar regime ... 18 abdominal incisions in total !! And several open a few times !

Now the words everyone's been waiting to hear .... When do I get to go home ???? SATURDAY !!!! If I can manage to keep the pneumonia away .. It's trying to rear is evil head :(

Deep breathe, Punky, as much as possible when you are awake. It will help keep the pneumonia at bay. So glad to "hear" the smile in your post! You are one tough cookie!!
