Hello Krim, I'm looking at GBS as early as January. It's my last resort and I have mixed feelings , but my health is starting to go down hill and I can't do the things I want to.
Congrats on your year and losing 124#, the tranformation in the pics is incredible, not just by looking so good but the happyness and confidence difference is there as well.
Do you miss the food? How big an issue might loose skin be for me as I have well over 100 #'s to lose.?

Thank you all for your encouragement and support, I couldn't have done it without all of you and this place!! Over the last year this has been my haven for doubts, celebrations, and concerns and I thank all you so much for being there for me when I've needed it and for letting me be there for you when you needed it.

donttread: I don't miss food because I can pretty much eat what I want now, just not as much of it.. and when I look at where I was and where I am now I realize I don't miss it at all, because with it I would be where I was, and now look where I am.. did that make sense?? lol It is TOTALLY worth it... and just think, if you don't do it, how your health will continue to deteriorate.. what amount of food is worth dying for? Just sayin'. :) Good luck on your journey, I know you will make the best decision for you.

Thanks Krista, that's the kind of thing I'm looking to hear. I watched a woman I know who had the surgery enjoy the hell out of ONE piece of pizza and be satisfied. I know you can't do that for a while, but I don't think I'll never touch another bad food either. She was happy with one piece. To me this is mind boggling. I was skinny until my 30's and not severely overweight until about 8 years ago. But I never ate like a normal person
