So, lately a bunch of us have been piping up about our running, and how we push ourselves to do more, and how we motivate one another to push ourselves to do better and go further..
Today I got a hug from Chris (aka wittch) saying that I motivated her to run for 20 mins straight - I am very proud of her for that!! Congrats to you!! And Patsy also - man, you guys are my biggest motivators, mainly because we're all around the same level of running.. I feel like we're kind of kindred souls. :D
The last time I ran I did 17 mins straight.. the last (and only) time I did 20 mins straight was several weeks ago, then I kinda got lazy about running and half-assed it for about 2 weeks - my heart just wasn't in it.
So last Saturday I went to the gym and did my 17 min run, and posted that I was going to try to increase that each time. Tonight I went to the gym, ran for 20 mins, walked for 5 thinking I was done, caught a short second wind and ran for 2 more mins. I was shooting for 5 more, but I was so tired I just stopped and walked for a few more minutes before finishing my workout.
All the time I was running I was thinking about my fellow runners here.. and how we motivate and inspire one another to push ourselves to that next level. This place is so GREAT!!! I love all you guys.. without you I would NEVER push myself to that next level, and wouldn't be here to inspire you to push yourselves to that next level.
Ok.. love fest over (for now!) Just feeling great and wanted to share!

I feel so blessed to have all of you supporting me, and I return the support back to you all. Krista, your post woke up the runner in me again. I am officially back on the wagon.
I totally had a LOL on that! I love DS and couldn't agree more. This place helps me keep it real and stay sane.
