Understand you completely - though you have it relatively easy compared to central NY. 18 inches of snow on the ground here, though it is finally above freezing.

Winter blues, I feel ya. In the Tug Hill Region myself and so blah! Try hot, warm, cold temperatures to see what works for ya. I'm on a coffee kick lately.

Senecagrl, how do you get around with that much snow!!! I have been drinking some coffee and different soups but ah....It will get better!

Oh we are well prepared for it, roads are clear. It's just part of life in NY. Tjordal3 is the real trooper. That's truly the snow belt up there.

We finally have some sun today. I'm going to sit next to a south facing window and take it all in :)

I hear you on the weather! In CT on a "mountain" where I live, we got 15 inches the other day and another 3 last night. We are up to 35 inches or so total for the year. Most snow on the way for Tuesday. I am a New Englander born and raised in northern NH but I now hate it. I am ready to retire and move to sunny Santa Monica, CA with my daughter and son-in-law!!! That is a few years away. In the meantime, I surround myself with lots of palm tree pics on calendars, in my scrapbooks of trips, and internet pics. Hang in there.

Ive been so down lately.. I am about 7 weeks out, I jut started a new job a couple of weeks ago and I just feel like crap... I don't know if it is to many changes at once, if I am not handling the new eating routine, or what, but I am just not myself.

Missouri weather is awful this year! We got freezing rain going on righgt now.
Actually we have had a normal winter for the midwest. We got spoiled with a series of warm winters.
We have not had a temp above 32 degress since decmeber here.

I know where your coming from! I live in Minnesota, so if it's not 20 below zero, it's snowing like mad!

We have had 100 inches of snow this year in Michigan. Getting 5 more inches today. Ugh. So tired of it all. I just keep crocheting. lol

I'm ready to get out of town too! The weather here in central New York has been less than pleasing. It's depressing. I'm home recouping from having plastic surgery and all I want to do is go outside and get some fresh air. Of course I go back to work on Thursday and it's supposed to go up into the 40's and Friday in the 50's...really!?!? Oh well it is what it is!

Over 300 inches of snow here and still coming. My brilliant plan was going to include snowshoes, but I've discovered I cannot tolerate the cold anymore. So I try to get to a mall or Walmart or grocery store a couple of times a week to do some walking. Shoveling, although not fun, has been great exercise.

Cher1001, it certainly could be all of the changes you've made that is bringing you down. I still (4 months out) go through down periods from the hormonal changes, winter blues, and just the changes such a major surgery brings about. It does get better. If you were depressed prior to surgery your meds might need adjusting. Message me if you need to talk. Hugs to you.

I hear you on the weather too! I live in Maine and we are getting hammered this winter. The snow bank by my mailbox is taller than I am! We are looking at another eight inches by morning. Getting enough exercise is what gets me in the winter. I'm not gaining but I'm not losing either. My husband keeps reminding me we are half way to Spring!

I am glad you all have shared on how you are dealing with winter weather. This is my first winter after a sleeve gastrectomy on April 16 and have been eating way too much and a lot of the wrong stuff. I do exercise each day but not getting any fresh air. I am lucky enough to have maintained my weight, thanks to the exercise, but still need to lose 20 pounds and should be there by now.

I love that we are all in the same boat no matter where we are....location and surgery wise. This is the best group ever! We have a lot less snow than most of you. My problem is that the last 5 years have been so mild that I traded my 4 wheel drive in for a cute little Toyota and living on a hilly, curvy, dirt road a half mile off of the black top has me sitting still. It is getting better though. Today the temp is 54 already. WOO HOO
