Tomorrow is 12 weeks since my surgery. This morning I got up and walked 2 miles in my neighborhood. Then after I showered, I did some measuring. I have lost 24.5 inches!
Then after some errands, I had a check up with my surgeon. I have now lost a total of 51.5 pounds!! My BMI is down to 32.2.
Combine all that with my A1C at 5.5 4 weeks ago and I am one happy camper!!
After the check up, I had a class with the NUT. There were 5 of us in the class. I was thinking I had a lot to learn when I had surgery. Compared to at least one person in the class who had sleeve surgery 6 weeks ago, I am a genius! I had SO much to learn and thought I had done my research. I told her some things she had never heard. Of course, I got most of that info on this forum. I really love coming here for knowledge! Any newbies or pre-ops reading this, do your research and know what to expect after surgery. I really don't think you can ever do too much research.
