I think I mentioned this before. But Since I am now 130 ln lighter I don't Have much padding on the butt. My tail bone hurts like crazy! Sitting or laying down on my back is painfull.
I got a seat cushion with a hole on it for the tailbone for my chair and antoerh pad made the same way for the bike seat. Still hurts.
I got an appt today with a doc to see if anything can be done.
Anyone else have this issue?

I do. But I had before an after the surgery. They will probly tell you that you need to go do some back therapy. It may help. It could be your tail bone is pressing on the sciatia(?) nerve therefore causing the pain. With losing so much weight, your body needs to readjust itself an therefore I believe the tailbone area is the last place it adjusts lol. I hope it gets better for you.

You may have a cyst on your tailbone. It's called a pilonidal cyst and is not that uncommon. I had mine removed when I was in my early 20s. Best of luck to you.

I hope you let us know what the doc says, I have the same issue. I'm a 14months postop and my tailbone still hurt like crazy. All my doc says is take Tylenol and don't sit to much. Which I don't but he's no help so I'd love to hear what or doc suggests.

Nothing Like that here, but it is very easy to chip your tailbone, which will cause pain. I hope the pain in your A** goes away soon. Sorry couldn't resist.

I had tailbone issues for about a year after I got to goal. I'm not sure if I just got used to it or if working out gave me some muscle to help pad things..but it doesn't hurt anymore.

yep, ive had the same problem! It was one of my first 'issues' after losing weight LOL I can't lay on my sides too long, either....
Its crazy, feeling bones we havent felt in years

Doc wasn't much help cept he said his hurt too! Just told me to buy cushions, I already have 2!
I try to stand more and sit so the bone don't hit,

I noticed someone posted about a cyst on your tailbone- I had three episodes with polyneidal cysts and they are actually not on your tailbone at all. They are inches below the tailbone and are on the top of your behind. They can get extremely painful and swollen so if that's what you think you have definitely have it checked. Good luck!!! Hey Sarge, it is probably inflamed too which will make it hurt more. I don't think we are supposed to take anti-inflammatories though. The doc didn't say anything about that? What did he recommend, if anything?

Sarge, I have the same thing. I got the cushion like you described with the hole cut out for the tail bone. I has definitely helped me. I sit at work all day and have no choice. Hope you can find something to help!

Maybe you just have a long tail bone? Hope the Dr can help ease your pain. Feel better!
