Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
Remember dont leave the hospital until you feel good especially since living so far from it. Expect big time bloatiness --- if you dont feel right tell them and dont leave. Just my advice but I am sure it will go fine. Get excited for the new you!!!

I'm also from NY, upstate in the foothills of the Adirondack Mtns.
I'm not a big pasta eater, so have a couple pieces of pizza for me, and some homemade mac n cheese. Heaven, these are the only things I miss, now that I have had all but 2 of my beloved veges back in my life.
I still miss corn, and I haven't tried brussel sprouts yet, this week sometime.
My surgery was on Sept. 23rd, so I'm about 6 weeks post op. You will find so much help and support on this site, it will truly amaze you.
Good luck and Congrats on starting your new life.
