I am 3 months out. I have lost 89 pounds since starting my diet last summer. 3 weeks ago I was so happy with a positive outlook on life. I had so much energy and pride with my new lifestyle. Now all of the sudden I am finding it hard to exercise, I am depressed, and angry. What the hell happened? I am still eating right and exercising but I feel lethargic now.

Sorry I don't have answers as I am still pre op... But the things that came to mind are:
> Hormones?
> Ck vitamin D (and other) levels?
> Adjusting to your new you?
> And of course talk with your doc...

I hope you are on the up swing soon! Good for you to keep up on your eating and exercise.

Have you had your blood checkup? Are you dealing with what is eating at you emotionally? Are you at a point of some memories surfacing? Just some options

Definitely mention this to your doctor...could be deficiency of some sort. I am 9 months out and never really had the energy boost that others get because I have some other health issues, but I absolutely felt the anger, etc. The bad news is that it lasted for months...the good news is that it was temporary for me. I knew that it was not rational but I couldn't do anything about it. I was so irritable and just wanted to snap at everyone (not my usual personality). I really wasn't able to eat what I wanted at the time and I just didn't feel well so I'm sure that contributed to it. Also, I found out that my iron was dangerously low and now I'm getting IV infusions. I just started so I can't say yet whether it is helping yet. Losing my "crutch" of emotional eating was hard for me. It wasn't until I found other things to fill that void that I started to feel better. For me...getting involved with activities that were normally outside of my comfort zone really helped. I have some amazing friends (those who loved me before is lost weight) and some new friends. Every day is a treat and im able to enjoy my family even more. This too shall pass...good luck:)

Are you taking your vitamins ? I go through spells like that and believe me it is kinda hard to get back into the swing of things... take a deep breath and remember why you did this in the first place.. to feel and look better. Try just sitting by yourself even if only for a few minutes and day and just relax. Just stay active and try not to kill yourself excersising. Have you had your blood levels check recently . ? Your iron my be way down and Vit D which will make you feel very tired and sluggish... Stay positive and hang in there it will get better.. I started having to take a iron pill... energy level back up :)

My labs were just done. My vitamin D was a little low and the doctor put me on an extra 2000/day. Hopefully that is all it was. I started it today. I am craving that energy again. Thanks for the responses.
